inspired by one of the test card

Usbrelus, the Coward King 1wur
Legendary Creature - Human Noble
wur, T: Target creature you own becomes you commander and gains this ability. (you can only have one commander at time)
2/2

Giorgiliano, Paragon of Standards 2wur
Legendary Creature - Human Soldier
t: put a flag counter on target creature. That creature becomes a Flagbearer (While an opponent is choosing targets as part of casting a spell they control or activating an ability they control, that player must choose at least one Flagbearer on the battlefield if able.)

Yeah, that is unusual. But is it useful? Trying to wrap my head around how to build a deck for such a card.
Psst, check the second page of Custom Card Contests & Games! Because of the daily contests, a lot of games fall down to there.

Partner existing suggests this ability may need some additional words on it.

Swing with some enormous attackers. Activate this ability targeting the one that isn't blocked. Deal colossal commander damage and eliminate a player. :P

There's also the use of it for a multi-'mander setup that increases reliability over the norm with a few different Commanders for different sections of the deck/dealing with certain kinds of opponent. Although I'd still prefer to give some independently-useful properties, like a good defensive statline or having bribery-themed combat tricks.

Some reason to be building the deck around him and not just using him as a way to sneak in Commander damage (or a payoff for it, like getting Treasures equal to Commander damage dealt, possibly tied to the Commander-swapping) or swap to different high-value creatures with incomplete color identities.

An example change:

Usbrelus, the Coward King 1wur
Legendary Creature - Human Noble
Whenever a creature you own deals Commander damage to an opponent, put a number of Treasure tokens onto the battlefield equal to the damage dealt.
wur, : Target unblocked attacking Legendary creature you own becomes your only Commander and gains this ability. Activate this ability only if this creature is your Commander.

Fixes the issue where a non-Legendary creature becomes your Commander and assure this is the Commander at game start, and presses you towards a general Commander-damage strategy with a side of Artifact, and more specifically Treasure, synergy. If it was Green instead of White, I'd try to come up with a way to have it be a selection of Food, Clue and Treasure, based on the task. Maybe keep the requirement for it to be your Commander, locking your deck to one of the three.

Honestly i didn't put too much thought behind him, except choosing jeskai because black and green have both efficient creatures and efficient tutor for those creatures, so that would lead to repetitive gameplay. However, restricting him to legendary creatures seems too much, especially in those colors.
The treasure idea is nice, but i fear it would make him OP.

By the way, i added another one.

Wording for abilities referencing whether or not a creature is a Commander actually don't capitalize the word. There's definite precedent, so it should be changed. Relatedly, I think there's some wiggle room or loophole existing to make "a creature you own deals Commander damage to an opponent" potentially problematic. Is there a huge reason he shouldn't be able to turn creatures you've Mind-Controlled into an alternative Commander? It seems like the next logical progression for a weird deck like this... If you'd really prefer his abilities only target/proc on owned creatures, then I'd suggest the below EDIT: but obviously change all instances of "control" to "own" because I'm a sillyperson. (I love the use of the new Noble subtype, btw. Nice detail.)

Btw, the ability should be "...create a number of Treasure tokens..." to be consistent with the most modern token-producing language. Since it's a Rare/Mythic (I'm assuming) you can skip the modern reminder text about Treasures/Food/Clues. :)

Otherwise, fascinating idea, and I'm a huge fan of token-producing EDH decks. Gotta use those extra cards from boosters for something!
