Here is my current Iteration of Mayael of the anima. I have built this deck several time of the years and somethings I want to note. This is what i had on hand for the deck. Im trying not to spend money on this deck but I do have a list of cards Im going to pick up or trade for in the coming months for the deck.

If you know of any chnages or cards I should be running please let me know.

What would you think of adding Trostani, Selesnya's Voice or True Conviction for some lifegain? These big creatures feel like they could use either effect.

Its interesting to see Mirri's Guile but no Sensei's Divining Top. Is that just because of the cost to activate top? I could likewise also possibly see Scroll Rack being a very reasonable consideration here. EDIT: ahhh I see the scroll rack in your to pick up cards.

Basalt Monolith seems like an odd stone to run here. I would think you would want a continuous mana generation of something like Thran Dynamo or Worn Powerstone over that. I suppose it has the infinite capability with rings but it seems unlikely that you get the two of those together in this deck and even if you did what are you using that mana on given its colorless and I don't see that many ways to dump it.

Xenagos, God of Revels seems like he would be amazing in a deck full of fatties. It makes casting them a lot better when you get to haste + huge buff them.

On the lifegain i've thought about it. Trostani, selesnya's voice is currently still helming Wurms but I do have a true conviction laying around.

On top deck maniuplation: Ive felt in my past games with mayael top doesnt do anything that mirri's doesnt and the cost just makes mayael even more expenive to activate.

Basalt is mostly in here to enable the turn 4 activation with mayael and they the infinite combo. I've considered thran and worn but im leaning to not adding them atm due to im looking at possibly adding a lot of artifact wipes if my meta keeps going rock based.

Xenagod is supposed to be on my list of things Im adding to the deck same with with surrak, the hunt caller. Hasste is a huge issue in the deck and im even considering after those two considering anger

Changes:
Treeshaker Chimera > Ilharg, the raze-boar:Sneak attack boar seems way better than an army breaker. If I find I miss the treeshaker I'll add him in over artisan of Kozilek.

Gaea's Touch > Surrak, the Hunt Caller: The list needed more haste enablers and often didn't have extra lands in hand.

Basalt Monolith > Etali, Primal Storm: Cutting the Infinite combo for a more consistent threat and card advantage.

Orcish Lumberjack > True Conviction : turning the few threats I may keep into game enders seems worth it. In addition the Lifelink should keep me alive.

plains > Sacred Foundry: strict upgrade for land fetching.

If anyone has any thoughts on other changes let me know
