Keep in mind it enters tapped, so everyone sees your devotion and the writing on the wall a turn ahead of time. I still haven't decided if I like it without some untap effects.
It's also just an awful rock if you can't get and sustain high devotion.

If i understand the cards and interaction correctly and and i may be wrong here, but Doubling Cube would double what you get from Nyx Lotus

Haktos is really cool, but so not suited to voltron. In RW, there are no pumps/equipment/enchantments that you can run that won't fail 67% of the time.DirkGently wrote: ↑4 years agoOh man, Haktos is too funny. Love that flavor.
Seems like a plausible voltron option, although it'll sometimes have pro-swords or pro-jitte or what have you, so that's pretty awkward. With multiple opponents to attack and good removal colors, though, you can probably find somewhere safe to attack.
For some reason in my head I was thinking it was 33% instead of 67%. Whoops. Yeah pretty terrible with equipment.Dunharrow wrote: ↑4 years agoHaktos is really cool, but so not suited to voltron. In RW, there are no pumps/equipment/enchantments that you can run that won't fail 67% of the time.
Legion's Initiative seems like a good card - can pump to 7 power, can blink it, can 'counter' a removal spell, can reset the number.
I just find you end up building this like Tajic, Blade of the Legion - you have this aggressive commander that makes your boardwipes kinda one-sided.
Maybe a good RW goodstuff commander ? Not much to build around, a solid clock...
There are lots of ways to boost damage that don't require equipment, auras, or targeting at all. Haktos the Unscarred already starts off at least at a 4 turn clock, easily gets to a 3 turn clock, and is very difficult to stop. He's immune to most spot removal in any given game, and some forms of mass removal. He's got built in powerful evasion, and tokens can't block him.

Lots of legends, and lots of infinite combos?MAGUSZANIN wrote: ↑4 years agoThe new Archon goes infinite with Enchanted Evening, though you'll need a way to stop the chain as it is not a may ability. Should be fun for my enchantress deck regardless.

Yeah, I've got quite a few decks its is going to slot into.pokken wrote: ↑4 years ago56841--elysian-grove-dryad-full.jpg
This feels like a serious mistake to me for EDH. Should create a renaissance of annoying land themed decks. I love it!
Glad I saved my second copy of coffers because now I need to rebuild a coffers deck. It really, really always wanted another exploration effect and one that enables coffers is just ridiculously nice.
My MW deck needs one as well.
And I'm kinda interested in making a valakut deck with it now
In the Command Zone? Probably not. I don't think Uro is going to make waves as a commander, but I think I want to play him in my Tatyova deck, probably as a replacement for Rampaging Baloths. Filling my graveyard with that deck isn't all that hard.darrenhabib wrote: ↑4 years agoIs the Growth Spiral each turn worth what you have to put into the rest of the deck? It's going to be rough going in my opinion.
