Gaea's Will is one of those cards that feels broken even if it isn't

gaea's Will

I feel like this is gonna be huge for Yidris, Maelstrom Wielder just thinking about it makes me want to vomit.
All cards are bad if you try hard enough.

Important decks: Ebondeath, Dracolich, Emiel, The Blessed, Phelddagriff
Other: Ruhan, Zask, Kellan, Liesa, Galadriel, Orca, Sauron, Thantis, Rukarumel, Sisay, Stickfingers, Safana, Thantis, Dihada

Junk Winder looks like it would be a good inclusion in my Adrix and Nev, Twincasters deck (or any blue token deck really) as a way to tap down blockers. I'm not sure if it would be better or worse than other options like Levitation or Wonder, but it probably bears testing.

Stop giving green everyone else's strong cards. It does not need a YawgWill.

So General Ferrous Rokiric is an interesting legendary. I'm not sure if RW has enough good multicolored spells + multicolor support to work as a commander (I very well could be wrong, and I kind of hope I am because Hero of Precinct One is one of my favorite cards), but he seems like an auto-inclusion in the 99 of Rienne, Angel of Rebirth.

Even if the individual components are white, the whole thing is not. The classic example is a green 1/1 with flash, deathtouch and ETB fight. Each component is available in green. But as a whole, it's just Murder, which isn't allowed in green.

If you are going to reduce my argument to absurdities, at least don't reduce it to absurdities it explicitly rules out. White gets asymetric ability hosers, flat out, see Overwhelming Splendor, Humble and Darksteel Mutation.
None of which, notably, cancel etb abilities in response to the spell being cast. That's what turns this card into a counterspell/stifle variant, which is blue and green, not white.
Guess Hushwing Gryff is blue now. If you're going to make strong assertions about the color pie, it behooves you to know what is already well-established in each color.

Gaea's Will is sweet. Suspend 4 is a pretty big ask, but it's certainly interesting. It is interesting to see that Yawgmoth's Will has been shifted to green after being shifter to red with Underworld Breach, but... green is the color with unconditional recursion, so it sort of makes sense. No idea where to use it though, since delayed storm is a bit awkward - there's a very wide window for grave hate to come down.

General Ferrous Rokiric is also nice. Seems cool for a heavy multicolored deck - 4/4 golems are pretty beefy. Theoretically aligns with the Boros aggro strategy by making a bunch of tokens to attack with, but gets there from a very different direction.

Disapprove is.... fine? Blue does have effects like Turn to Frog to make things lose abilities, so I don't consider it to be a color bend. I will agree that it would be nice if white got more of this effect, but simultaneously, white decks also just have actual board wipes / removal, which is generally superior to just making stuff lose abilities. As for the card itself... it's an interesting piece of interaction. You can use it to pseudo-counter ETB effects, and seems potent against most creature-based combo.

Junk Winder is probably just a limited card, but 'affinity for tokens' does make me happy.

Gael's Will irritates me. The ONLY positive I can see from this card is that it offers downward pressure on prices in the rest of the set. No game where this resolves is going to feel rewarding.

These effects are already banned in legacy, a format that is better equipped to deal with them. The suspend cost is irrelevant in the decks that want to cast for free.

I hate doomsaying, and maybe this is fine in the modern. I don't know, although I'm highly skeptical it's okay, but it's not pushing the game in a direction that makes me excited to play against it.

And perhaps it would behoove you to remember where I explictly stated that the problem is that it is *temporary*, which hushwing is not.

White can remove EtBs, it can remove abilities asymmetrically, and it can remove them at instant speed. White even has a few counterspells, aIbeit weaker ones. I see nothing in the synthesis of these that overcomes a fundamental weakness of white. It is not analogous to the green murder you raised as an example. It would be a new version of the effect in white, no-one disputes this. All I say is it would be a good addition, and would not undermine any essential weakness of white.

This newly spoiled merfolk looks more than a little pushed. Not aimed at us as much as other formats, but the Kumena decks and so forth will like it.
I have 68 active EDH decks, with more in progress. I don't consider this a problem. Do you?

General Ferrous' golem tokens aren't artifacts. That has to be intentional as I can't think of a non artifact golem. Odd though with his name sounding like the word for iron and boros leaning into artifacts

They are artifacts, not listing them as such is a typo in the Nexus mockup, in the source they are "ficha de criatura artefato Golem vermelha e branca 4/4" aka "token of creature artifact Golem red and white 4/4"

Is Ferrous a short king, or are the golems just bigger than him?

They're 4/4's to his 3/1, so I'd probably assume they're just much larger.

I kinda want a Suspend without reminder text so I can send newer players into an infinite regress.

"What does suspend do?"
"It exiles the creature and gives it suspend"
"But what does suspend do?"
"It exiles the creature..."

It looks perfect for my Sygg deck. It protects Sygg, it deals 3 damage to trigger Sygg, it draws a card on attack rather than damage, and it is hard to get rid of (didn't realize it was two other Merfolk so it won't be indestructible in my deck as I think Sygg is the only Merfolk). I realize it really is made for other formats and other decks can make better use out of it, but this is one of the best new additions for Sygg I have seen in a while.

Priest of Fell Rites is amazing with Buried Alive as you can Unearth it to put any of the other creatures into play.

It... uh... uses investigate to... investigate your opponents decks? I guess the flavor on that isn't terrible! And it's not play land profit.

Lonis, Cryptozoologist - seems kinda fun to me. I like that it's something for simic to do other than Exploration and I love clues.

Might do something with it, but sadly that something will inevitably involve Tireless Tracker and Exploration because I can't control my damn self, but hey :)

I do love me some Ongoing Investigation too.

Use infinite ETB triggers to just shuffle your opponents libraries as soon as they get something they want on top. Turn him into a lantern control deck for literally no reason to grief your foes. Soldier of Fortune in the command zone.
